GREETINGS FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
It has been a year since our last General Membership Meeting when I was elected as your national president. It has been quite a year. The national weather has seemed as though it has been in the forefront every day. We cannot deny that climate has changed since many of us were very young and the weather extremes only seem to get larger. With new records being nearly every day such as rain amounts, snow amounts, high heat and the number of tornados happening it seems that Mother Nature has a vengeance for all of us. But enough about the weather. Your board of directors has been busy meeting via zoom every month. We are all volunteers and I appreciate every effort that is made by all of them. So a big THANK YOU to all of them.
That brings me to my next point. Our 53rd General
Membership Meeting is being held on Oct 7th. You should have
received a post card with the meeting information. We are holding this year s
meeting in Lincoln Nebraska and you are all welcome to attend. The hotel we are
staying in is the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. They have given us a great
rate of $98 per night. The reservation block is under NCOAGA 53. If you cannot
attend please join us via zoom. The information for that is also on the post
card that you have received. We have several positions that are up for election
this year. Both President positions are open as well as the Secretary and
Treasurer positions. So if you are
interested in any position send your nomination to Lang Anderson. His email

Your Vice President has been busy with the scholarship program. Chief Uthe has put together a scoring team who is currently scoring the scholarship packages that were submitted by your dependents. The results of that competition will be made available in the next few days. Those funds will be made available to the winners very soon.
Your Secretary works very hard recording all of the meetings every month. MSgt Oster provides me with an agenda that I review with her and send out to the board members prior to each monthly meeting. Additionally she posts the approved minutes from all the meetings on our web site each month. She also updates the Association Guidance handbook with any approved changes. She also keeps our Facebook page updated with any new developments.
Your Treasurer Chief Richardson keeps track of all our income and expenses. She provides the board with a finance report each month during our zoom meeting. She also ensures that we adhere to the budget that was approved at last year s membership meeting. She will be providing the association with a recap of this past years financial transactions at the membership meeting
Your membership director Msgt Creasser ensures that all of our members are notified of renewal times and deposits all membership funds. She provides the board with updates for each monthly meeting and also keeps a record of our deceased members for updating the obelisk at the TEC in Knoxville. Lastly she keeps the database with all the membership contact information current.
Your Ways and Means director Chief Turner maintains the Be Square listing and provides all of us with adoptable pledges of deceased members. She is our fund raising chairperson and has been continuing the tradition of making a quilt which is raffled off at every Membership meeting. This year s quilt picture is viewable on our Facebook page and tickets for the raffle can be purchased from all of your board members.
Your Graduate editor Major Koenig solicits info for each Graduate that she develops and makes available to you the members on our website and on our Facebook page. She also provides the board with the zoom link for us to have our monthly meetings as well as for the General Membership meeting which we will be having on Oct 7th this year. Lastly she has been working with our web master Johnathan Farrell on updating or website.
Your TEC Liaison Chief Damrow keeps the board aware of what is going on down in Knoxville. He attends graduations when possible. He keeps us current on who is the current Commandant and Commander at the TEC. He also continues to keep the board current on the status of the bricks that were purchased by you the members and are waiting to be placed for display at the TEC. Lastly when the obelisk needs updated he hires the local company to accomplish that task.
